As was the case in Ferdinand A. Lange's lifetime, the balance cock of an A. Lange & Shne watch is still engraved by hand today. The motif of the engraving has always been the personal signature of each artist, the depth of the cut and the curl of the lines that makes each balance cock distinctive and unique.
